Chance wants to accelerate the development of PsyTech in France, this innovative sector combining behavioral sciences, data analysis and artificial intelligence. To do this, the company, whose head office is in Beauvais in the Oise, announced that it had completed a second fundraising of 12 million euros, conducted with the Citizen Capital and EduCapital funds, as well as a pool of around fifty business angels. Among them are big names in industry or tech, including Philippe de Chanville (ManoMano), Thibaud Hug de Larauze (BackMarket) and Hubert de Boisredon (Armor).

Carried out in 2020, the previous funding round raised 5.6 million euros and enabled this French pioneer in the sector to refine its professional guidance tool for adults. Its development required seven years of research and ten million euros of investment.

Today, the company wants to strengthen support for people in career reorientation, by removing one of the main obstacles: the lack of a network. This fundraising gives the opportunity to the founding president of Chance, Ludovic de Gromard, to publish its manifesto #provoconslachance. An original initiative: 100 personalities from the world of business, politics or associations undertake to open their address book to the beneficiaries of the course.

Among the first signatories: Muhammad Yunus, economist and Nobel Peace Prize winner, who is also President of Chance, Elisabeth Moreno, Minister Delegate for Equal Opportunities, Clara Chappaz, Director of FrenchTech or Franck Gervais, Managing Director of the Group Pierre & Vacations. “We are going to develop targeted connections, that is to say form Chance duos, between a beneficiary and a personality, ready to put the person in contact with one or more members of his network”, explains Ludovic de Gromard.

Chance, which has around fifty employees, has planned one hundred permanent recruitments this year and will double the number of its partner coaches to 300. The company has experienced strong growth since the start of the health crisis. “We have supported 5,000 beneficiaries in total and, since the 1er January, we register a registration every 30 minutes”, he concludes.
