Prewave secures €18M in Series A+ funding led by Creandum, propelling its evolution into the first end-to-end supply chain risk platform.

Prewave, the pioneering supply chain risk management and compliance platform trusted by major clients such as BMW, PwC, and Lufthansa, has successfully raised €18 million in a Series A+ funding round led by prominent European VC Creandum. Following the robust Series A investment in 2022 led by KOMPAS and Ventech, this latest funding aims to elevate Prewave from a risk identification platform to an end-to-end solution that proactively addresses and resolves risks within supply chains.

As supply chain risk management becomes a strategic differentiator in today’s competitive business landscape, Prewave’s comprehensive approach covers every phase of the risk lifecycle. The platform, under the leadership of Dr. Lisa Smith and Harald Nitschinger, goes beyond risk identification to offer an all-inclusive solution for managing supply chain risks, ensuring transparency, resilience, and sustainability.

In an era where companies grapple with ESG concerns, disruptions, visibility challenges, and compliance issues, Prewave’s dynamic supplier risk score derived from big data supply chain analysis enables users to monitor and manage their entire supply chain effectively. The platform facilitates the execution of corrective and preventive measures, aligning with international regulations such as the German Supply Chain Act and the upcoming European Supply Chain Due Diligence Directive.

Co-founder Harald Nitschinger highlights Prewave’s significant growth, expanding from a team of 20 to over 100 employees in a testament to the company’s success. Prewave positions itself as a pioneer and key player in the supply chain risk discipline, aiming to become the first true end-to-end operating system for supply chain risk.

Sabina Wizander, Partner at Creandum, emphasizes the critical need for Prewave’s solution in addressing the complexities of the current supply chain environment. The platform’s dynamic supplier risk score brings much-needed transparency, enabling companies to take real-time action on their supply chain. Creandum, along with existing investors, expresses confidence in Prewave’s potential to revolutionize supply chain risk management.
