Oyster, a premier global employment platform, has announced the appointment of Michael McCormick as Senior Vice President, Engineering. Michael brings a wealth of experience in technology leadership and innovation from a career spanning over two decades.

Michael joins Oyster from Salesforce, where he held several key positions, including Head of Engineering at Salesforce.org and as VP & CTO of Mobile and Connected Devices. At Salesforce, Michael drove architecture and best practices for innovation and quality, delivered a revolutionary platform for social engagement, and played a pivotal role in developing the Philanthropy Cloud.

Before his tenure at Salesforce, Michael was a key member of the Technical Staff at Oracle, where he led architectural initiatives for Oracle’s on-premise and cloud software offerings, and held various leadership roles at BEA Systems.Michael’s career began with financial planning at American Express. He is also a member of the Forbes Technology Council, contributing thought leadership in the tech industry.

In his new role at Oyster, Michael will spearhead the engineering team, focusing on advancing the platform’s capabilities and ensuring it continues to meet the needs of a global workforce platform. His extensive experience in driving technological innovation and managing complex engineering projects will be instrumental in supporting Oyster’s mission to simplify global employment.
