VEED.IO, a leading cloud-based video editing platform, has appointed Leila Woodington as VP Marketing to spearhead its go-to-market strategy.
VEED.IO is an easy to use and highly powerful cloud-based video editing tool. The company’s ambition is to build the world’s largest online video editor, making creative storytelling with video simple and accessible for everyone. The VP Marketing mandate was Faraday Partners’ first mission with VEED and a critical hire for the Founders as the growth expectations were significant in a rapidly expanding category. Following a US and European wide search, VEED appointed Leila Woodington as VP Marketing to build-up and lead VEED’s fast growing GTM function.
Leila joins from Snap where she led Business Marketing across EMEA. Prior to that she worked at Facebook, where she spent more than 10 years and held a key role overseeing business marketing efforts across Northern Europe as Marketing Director. Before this, she was with PayPal for almost six years. Although VEED is a fully remote business, Leila will be based in London, reporting to and working closely with Sabba Keynejad, CEO and Co-Founder of VEED.
Faraday Partners collaborated closely with the team at Sequoia Capital on this key assignment. This was also the case on our following assignment with VEED where Faraday Partners brought in Kirby Frugia as VP Engineering. The process was co-led by Nick Fairclough and Thomas Chorliet, Managing Partners at Faraday Partners.
