Chance announces a partnership with the Hauts-de-France Region as part of the “Innovation Format” call for projects to develop an innovative project to support people in search of a new professional orientation.
This project currently concerns 100 job seekers in the Region who will benefit from a 3-month Chance program, developed from a scientific method to determine, for each, the most suitable vocational guidance.
The Hauts-de-France Region has carried out a study to establish an observation on the local job market. It appears that:
- The regional unemployment rate is 9.7% vs. 7.4% in France. However, it is interesting to note that unemployment in Hauts-de-France fell sharply in the last quarter of 2021.
- The Hauts-de-France are the youngest region in France, but its young inhabitants are in great precariousness compared to the national average of the French:
⸰ 24.5% of the population of Hauts-de-France is a graduate of higher education, compared to 28.5% of all French people.
⸰ 26.3% of the population of the Hauts-de-France has a CAP-BEP or infra level of training.
This partnership was thus born from the desire to innovate and choose a proven solution to ensure that the most fragile audiences find their professional path and promote their professional integration.
100 people of various profiles will be accompanied
The group will consist of 100 people with varied profiles: low- or unskilled job seekers, young people from the local Mission, residents of the City Policy Districts (QPV) and Rural Revitalization Zones (ZRR), single parents or beneficiaries of social minima.
In permanent contact with local employment administrations (actors of the Conseil en Évolution professionnelle (CEP) of the territory, coordinated by the Regional Orientation and Trades Agency and local missions, the regional management of Pôle Emploi and agencies, APEC, Cap Emploi and Carif-Oref), in the coming weeks, this group of 100 people will benefit from Chance support to help them determine their professional orientation,
The objective: to allow these people to get to know each other better in order to orient themselves towards the most realistic and best suited career choice for them, in their employment.
A response to a concrete need for social mobility
As part of the innovative project in Hauts-de-France, the Chance course contributes to:
- Massive need for orientation or reorientation of audiences to adapt to the rapid transformations of the world of work and acquire the skills of tomorrow.
- Need to support audiences, especially audiences far from employment, to know their deep aspirations, explore the possibilities, refine training needs and build a sustainable professional project.
- Need to engage in the work of the public to gain in performance and access social mobility opportunities, in a logic of equal opportunities.
Laurent Rigaud, Vice-President of the Hauts-de-France Region, in charge of employment, training and CREFOP, says: “The battle for employment in which, in Hauts-de-France, we mobilize every day, requires the use of all possible levers. By offering today this innovative approach to personal coaching through the “Chance” scheme, the Hauts-de-France are further opening up the field of possibilities to allow inhabitants of the region seeking employment or in precarious situations to return to employment in optimal conditions.”
Ludovic de Gromard, CEO and co-founder of Chance: “Looking for meaning in your work is not a luxury, it is in fact a necessity to be really committed to your professional life, and see perspectives”. This partnership with the Hauts-de-France region represents a concrete approach for job seekers, followed by a move to action through a targeted door opening to the job sought.”
