VEED.IO, a leading cloud-based video editing platform, has appointed Kirby Frugia as VP Engineering to lead its rapidly expanding technical team.
VEED.IO is an easy to use and highly powerful cloud-based video editing tool. The company’s ambition is to build the world’s largest online video editor, making creative storytelling with video simple and accessible for everyone. Following an in-depth international search campaign with Faraday Partners, VEED appointed Kirby Frugia as VP Engineering to lead the fast growing technical function in a period of expansion.
Reporting to Timur Mamedov, CTO and Co-Founder of VEED, Kirby is tasked with scaling the Engineering organisation’s size and output multiple folds. VEED’s product is also expected to become more complex, packing more and more AI features. Following a thorough process, Kirby convinced the hiring committee and Board through his highly referenceable track record of engineering leadership at global technology firms such as Mural or InVision.
Faraday Partners collaborated closely with the team at Sequoia Capital on this key assignment. This was also the case on our previous assignment with VEED where Faraday Partners brought in Leila Woodington as VP Marketing. The process was co-led by Thomas Chorliet and Nick Fairclough, Managing Partners at Faraday Partners.
